XFL Football: Who are the Teams?

The XFL will return to action this spring with eight teams.

The reimagined XFL, which will begin play in mid-February, is made up of eight teams split into two divisions. The regular season will last 10 weeks with two playoff rounds to follow. Teams in the same division will play each other twice and teams in the other division once.

The season is currently set to start on Feb. 18 and run through May 13. The majority of the games will be played on Saturdays and Sundays with a few exceptions. Every game will be broadcast live on TV and available via streaming thanks to the XFL's exclusive partnership with ESPN.

Each team will be made up of a 45-man active roster with players set to be paid a base salary of $59,000 in addition to weekly game checks and the ability to earn a $1,000 bonus for each win. The XFL also will be providing $20,000 to each player in benefits, including health insurance as well as covering housing and meals.
