Wide Receiver Rankings: NFL Fantasy Week 13

Justin Watson isn't necessarily someone you want to pick up this week, unless you're already looking ahead to next season.

The Week 13 fantasy wide receiver rankings are going to highlight a player that you have to look pretty deep down the list to find.

I don't have a whole lot of players different from the Expert Consensus Rankings (ECR), but one of the larger discrepancies has to do with Justin Watson.

There's a good chance he's not even owned in your league. And he's not even in my top 70 WRs this week, so those of you in regular 12-team, redraft leagues can safely ignore him. But I do like him in deeper leagues, especially as a potential keeper option for next year.

Much of the preseason hype surrounding the Kansas City Chiefs' wide receiving corps sans Tyreek Hill was either about free-agent signee JuJu Smith-Schuster or rookie Skye Moore. More recently, it's been about acquiring former Giant Kadarius Toney via trade. While fantasy owners have been either disappointed or yanked around by Moore and Toney (Smith-Schuster has been hurt for much of the season), Watson continues to offer a steady floor when it comes to production. He has at least one catch in each of his last five games.

With Mecole Hardman a free agent next season and Marquez Valdes-Scantling owed more than $8 million in 2023, don't be surprised if Watson is suddenly the hyped Chiefs WR next year. As teams begin to fall out of the playoff hunt, many fantasy managers will begin mining for next year's breakout players.

Now might be a good time to grab Watson.
