Tight End Rankings: NFL Fantasy Week 12
The tight end landscape for fantasy has been hard to get a handle on this season, and it's only getting worse. Kyle Pitts went on injured reserve after suffering a knee injury (torn MCL) last Sunday. He joins Darren Waller, Dallas Goedert and Zach Ertz as other prominent tight ends on the shelf right now. Basically, unless you have Travis Kelce, picking a tight end each week has been difficult due to a combination of injury and ineffectiveness. In Week 11, the tight end who scored the second-most points (because topping Kelce’s three touchdowns is pretty difficult) was Austin Hooper of the Tennessee Titans, aided by two touchdowns of his own. He’s not ranked as a TE1 for Week 12.
Rather, Pat Freiermuth is making his way up the ranks. He was targeted 12 times in Week 11, the most among all tight ends. He has been hovering on the TE1 border all season, but he should be firmly cemented as a TE1. Pittsburgh will face Indianapolis on "Monday Night Football" this week, and Freiermuth should continue to rack up the targets. He hasn’t found the end zone since Week 2, but hopefully that changes on MNF.
