Kicker Rankings: NFL Fantasy Week 13

Harrison Butker has been a solid fantasy option this season but he hasn't been elite.

I almost had a different kicker other than Justin Tucker atop my Week 13 fantasy kicker rankings. Tucker is and will likely forever be my favorite kicker. And remember, I said "almost."

But it is because I know for a fact that I give far more time and attention to the weekly kicker rankings than most of the "experts" do. And my process almost led me to put a different kicker up top. And his name is Harrison Butker.

For one, Butker's Chiefs are playing the Cincinnati Bengals this weekend. No team in the entire league has allowed kickers to score more fantasy points than the Bengals. And that includes six teams, who, unlike Cincinnati, have yet to have their bye week.

So on matchup alone, I almost made Butker first. He's also been scoring a ton of fantasy points lately. He is coming off his first four-FG (in as many attempts) game of the season, which was in addition to a couple of extra points. That followed his first three-FG of the season game, including one from beyond 50 yards.

But this has definitely been a down season for Butker, who is not currently even in the top 20 fantasy kickers. However, much of that can be attributed to him missing four games earlier this season. Nonetheless, Butker has still only made 80 percent of his FGs, which would be 10 percent lower than his career low. Thus, as tempting as it was to put Butker atop my K rankings this week, I just couldn't do so.
