Start 'em, Sit 'em Week 16: Be Merry with Jerry and Other RB/WR Fantasy Advice
I've decided to mix it up a bit for the Week 16 start/sit fantasy advice for running backs and wide receivers. As many of you know, this week is Hanukkah, so instead of the usual format, this week's start and sit will be an ode to Adam Sandler and his Hanukkah song.
What's funny is how much things have changed from the original SNL segment when Sandler debuted it to the song now being so ubiquitous it has four different versions.
Week 16 Positional Rankings: QB I RB I WR I TE I DST I K I Flex
I won't get all nostalgic and philosophical on you, so instead we'll insert our usual reminder about the rules for this column. Any RB or WR who is a "consensus" RB1 or WR1 (i.e. typically a player in the top 12 for his position that week) will not be mentioned as a "start." Likewise, you will typically not see any "sit" suggestions in this space for an RB or WR who is not in the top 30 of their respective position.

With that out of the way, let's take a look at which RBs/WRs you might want to start or sit to the tune of Sandler's "Hanukkah Song," which I presume you know.
Week 16 RB/WR Start/Sits
Get your lineup ready
Who is slow but steady?
So much pleasure
To look at players and measure.
It's playoff time, time to get it right.
Instead of the usual Sunday slate, we got a bizz-ee Saturday night.
When you feel like the only owner, who has a start/sit doubt
Here's some advice for you, to help you work it all out...
A tough match-up awaits Joseph Mixon;
Najee Harris is sharing carries, could use some fixin'.
Guess what RBs I like to give you a lift
The TD vulture Jamaal Williams and D'Andre Swift (both Lions!)
Jacksonville gives up a lot of yards, more TDs than a few
Put the Lion backs together, what a fine-lookin' crew!
You don't need "Deck The Halls" or to sing "Silent Night"
'Cause you can get past Week 16 by starting Rachaad White! (sorry Lenny!)
Put in those RBs
I'm gonna make you believers
Its time for fantasy owners everywhere
To select their receivers
O.J. Simpson? What a jerk!
But guess who isn't – the Jaguars' Christian Kirk.
Sauce Gardner is a stud, he's sure not flabby.
Yet Kirk has 73 catches and 7 TDs – not too shabby
Some people think that Coach Hackett is pure doody
Perhaps he is, but guess who isn't...
Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy!
So many Ram DBs have been burned
They are not the worse secondary, but Jeudy's points shall be earned!
Tell your friend Veronica
To sit Chris Olave this Hanukkah
I hope he can beat the Browns-ikah
On this lovely, lovely Hannukah
And sit any and all WR who are Packers
So you can really win those greenbackers...
Have a happy, happy, happy, happy Hanukkah
Happy Hanukkah
Further Detail and Notes
I got this feeling my editor is going to want a little more detail, so just some quick thoughts on some of the above recommendations.
*I think the Jags will be smart and put Christian Kirk in the slot, which is where the Jets have struggled
*Not only is Chris Olave racking up the DNPs, but the Browns are in the top dozen in preventing fantasy points to WRs this season.
*In the last two weeks, Jerry Jeudy has recorded 15 catches and three TDs. Expect his hot streak to continue.
*I might play Christian Watson, but the Green Bay passing game is an absolute bolygon right now that screams stay away.
*Patriots have allowed the second-fewest fantasy points to RBs this season. Be wary Joe Mixon owners.
*Najee Harris is banged up and Jaylen Warren not only scored, but saw the most carries last week he has all season. Don't ignore the warning light.
*Only five teams have allowed more rushing TDs to running backs than Jacksonville, Detroit's opponent this week. The Jaguars have allowed the third-most receiving yards to the position as well.
*Arizona might appear like a middle-of-the-pack matchup for Rachaad White. Yet only three teams have allowed more receiving TDs to RBs than Arizona. Only five teams have allowed more rushing TDs to White's position than the Cardinals.
