Start 'em, Sit 'em Week 11: Isaiah Likely and Other QB/TE/DST Fantasy Advice

With Mark Andrews likely returning, Isaiah Likely should be back on the bench

Fantasy managers have to deal with four teams on a bye and some big names are still banged up. Kyler Murray could miss another game. Josh Allen will do everything he can to play again, although he is clearly not 100 percent (and the weather could be a huge factor in Buffalo this weekend). Matthew Stafford missed Week 10 because of a concussion but he appears to be on track to clear protocol and return to action this Sunday. Monitor the practice reports and be sure that you are starting an active quarterback.

Positional Rankings: QB I RB I WR I TE I DST I K I Flex

Teams on bye: Jacksonville, Miami, Seattle, Tampa Bay

START This QB

Taylor Heinicke, QB, Washington Commanders at Houston Texans

Heinicke led the Commanders to victory over the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles this past Monday night. The starting job is his for the near future and fantasy managers should take note. He is finding Terry McLaurin down the field and moving the ball with his running backs. While his numbers aren’t amazing (211 yards and no touchdowns in Week 10), he is a QB2 option for those who may be missing their starter.

SIT This QB

Baker Mayfield, QB, Carolina Panthers at Baltimore Ravens

With P.J. Walker injured, Mayfield is going to be the starting quarterback for the Panthers in Week 11. This is bad news for pretty much the entire offense, including DJ Moore. Mayfield hasn’t thrown for more than 235 yards this season and has only thrown for more than one touchdown once. While he doesn’t throw a lot of interceptions, he also doesn’t throw a lot in general. He should not be considered a fantasy starting option for Week 11.

START This TE

Greg Dulcich, TE, Denver Broncos vs. Las Vegas Raiders

It’s not clear whether Jerry Jeudy will be able to play or not after getting hurt last week, but regardless, this looks to be a week that Dulcich will have a good game. He’s a solid option for Russell Wilson, who should have a bounce-back game of his own against the Raiders. Assuming Jeudy sits this one out, Dulcich should grab some of his targets. Either way, the offense needs him, and this is a great opportunity for him to get back in the flow (following Week 10’s dud).

SIT This TE

Isaiah Likely, TE, Baltimore Ravens vs. Carolina Panthers

While Mark Andrews has been out, Likely didn’t quite step up as expected. Sure, he scored two touchdowns in the past two games, but in Week 9, that touchdown was his only catch of the game. The rookie may be touchdown-dependent (as are many tight ends), but with Mark Andrews possibly returning, it’s time to move Likely back to the bench. He’s hard to trust in Week 11.

START This Defense/Special Teams (DST)

Washington Commanders at Houston Texans

The Texans are one of the best matchups for opposing defenses. They just don’t have the offense that is scoring points, which is what works well for starting a DST. Davis Mills is prone to turning the ball over, and that also adds to the fantasy damage a DST can do. The New York Giants faced the Texans in Week 10 and that DST did well. Now it’s the Commanders' turn.

SIT This Defense/Special Teams (DST)

Dallas Cowboys at Minnesota Vikings

The Cowboys DST has been solid this year, but they face the Vikings in Week 11. Coming off a close loss, the Cowboys' offense will likely look to get on the board, but the DST has a tough task. Justin Jefferson is on fire, and the Vikings are healthier (on offense) than most teams. This game has the potential to be high scoring, which isn’t good for either DST.
