Fantasy football players are on alert after Jets beat writers put out a report indicating there will be a time-share between Michael Carter and rookie Breece Hall in Gang Green’s backfield.

Since being taken in the early second round in April’s 2022 NFL Draft, Hall has seen a steady rise in Average Draft Position. He’s gone as high as the 16th running back and 35th player off the board, firmly inserting him with a late-third, early-fourth round grade in fantasy football drafts. But after these reports, expect the rookie to see a dip in ADP.

On the flip side, Carter has been somewhat of an afterthought in early August fantasy drafts. The second-year rusher has an ADP of 106th overall and is being selected as the 40th running back. If Cimini’s reports come to fruition in the season, Carter’s current ADP offers tremendous value for fantasy players. During his rookie campaign in 2021, Carter rushed for 639 yards on 147 attempts and caught 36 passes for 325 yards. He scored four touchdowns and finished as RB30.

Fantasy players should adjust their cheatsheets and move Hall down a few spots toward the 30-ish mark, while Carter gets bumped up to around RB34.
