2022 NFL Player Props: Most Passing Yards

Tom Brady, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tom Brady led the league in passing yards last season and he's among the favorites to do it again in 2022.

Considering the wealth of talent at the quarterback position in the NFL, identifying one to finish in the top 12 in fantasy football isn’t a tough task. But betting on which of the league’s elite passers will finish with the most passing yards in 2022 is a totally different story. After all, when the season is over, there will be just one right answer.

2022 Fantasy Football ADP: QB I RB I WR I TE

According to the oddsmakers at FanDuel Sportsbook, Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert has the best chance of leading the league in passing yards this season. Herbert is listed at +700 while Matthew Stafford, Tom Brady, and Patrick Mahomes check in tied for the second-best odds at +800. Brady was one of just two quarterbacks in 2021 to exceed the 5,000-yard mark and his 5,316 yards were nearly 300 more than Herbert.

Interesting note: all four of the aforementioned quarterbacks (Herbet, Stafford, Mahomes, Brady) finished in the top four for most passing yards last year. In fact, the only quarterback to finish in the top 10 last season and not have odds within the top 10 this year is Aaron Rodgers. The Packers passer finished 10th a year ago and his odds currently put him as the 12th-likely quarterback to lead the league in yards.  Of the 32 expected starting quarterbacks, Justin Fields, Daniel Jones and Jared Goff have the worst odds at +10000.

According to Sports Illustrated's 2022 fantasy football player projections, Bengals passer Joe Burrow is listed with the most yards (5.092) followed by Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes (5,037). In fact, those two signal-callers are the only two SI projects to exceed 5,000 yards.
